From a cupboard in Scotland to your doorstep.
Savage Island started the way most good things do — with a problem to solve and very little space to solve it in. Back in 2008, we began selling outdoor and fishing products from a cupboard in the house. No warehouse, no team, no fancy systems. Just a genuine passion for the outdoors and a belief that quality kit shouldn't cost a fortune.
As the business grew, we opened a physical store on King Street in Glasgow — selling guns, outdoor accessories and everything in between. It was a proper outdoors shop, built for people who actually use their gear. We learned what our customers wanted, what they needed, and what the market was getting wrong.
We made the decision to close the store and go ecommerce-only — a move that turned out to be one of the best we ever made. We opened our first warehouse in Greenock, Scotland, and used that foundation to do something we'd always wanted to: develop our own Savage Island branded products. Sourced with care, built for real conditions, and priced so that quality outdoor kit is accessible to everyone.
Today, Savage Island ships across the UK and beyond. Our range covers wellington boots, combat and patrol boots, neoprene footwear, clothing and outdoor accessories — all carrying the same promise we've had since day one. Honest gear, built to last, at a price that makes sense.
